  1. Halloween is slowly creeping up on us. There’s that subtle hint of pumpkin spice lingering in the air, costumes filling up all of the party stores and of course, the most quintessential Halloween movie, Hocus Pocus has taken up the number one spot on Netflix. With all of this Halloween fever around us, we simply couldn’t resist adding a little Halloween ‘flair’ to our blog. So – in light of the holiday – we want to emphasize several ways online feedback can prevent your customers from having a ‘scary’ customer experience!

But before we begin, it’s important that you become acquainted with the most common ‘horrors’ (or irritations) that online customers often encounter; horrors that can tarnish the customer experience and ultimately (if not resolved), put these customers off to your brand...

  2. The online customer journey in retail is going through a major transformation. Consumers are not only (increasingly) picking up their mobile phones to shop online, but they’re also looking for a more interactive experience with the brand, accompanied by a smooth purchasing process. This is a shift that many suspect will demand more from online retailers, especially in the realm of customer experience. One way of achieving the much sought after sound customer experience is online feedback.

In this White Paper, Mopinion dives into the digitisation of the retail industry and how this is transforming the online customer journey as we know it. Together with several online retail giants – including Nextail, Albert Heijn and Grandvision – Mopinion also outlines why online feedback is so crucial for retail businesses today – especially those who are looking to achieve an optimal online customer experience....

  5. Mobile apps have become the bread and butter for many digital marketers. This is mostly credited to the fact that a quality mobile app has the potential to promote and grow your business tremendously. It can open new channels of revenue, introduce you to new marketing strategies (e.g. location tracking), give you the opportunity to provide more modern social media campaigns and of course, enable you to focus more on user experience. However, as the famous Rocky Balboa (yes, I’m a fan) puts it, ‘it ain’t all sunshines and rainbows’. Developing a successful mobile app can be a demanding task that requires a lot of thought and understanding of what the customer needs. So what better way to explore what the customer needs than to ask them directly? Customer feedback makes that all too simple.

  6. The ecommerce industry has experienced a tremendous amount of growth in the past decade. Having jumped from 3.5% of all retail sales in 2008 to nearly 11.9% in 2018, this growth – in combination with a (still) relatively low market share – represents a huge opportunity for more innovative ecommerce companies looking to overtake their traditional counterparts.

However, in order to latch on to the ‘growth train’, these same ecommerce companies (and therefore, ecommerce managers) are going to have to put their best foot forward. In other words, they’ll need to be sure that they are providing a first-rate online customer experience. And the best way to do this is to start listening to the voice of the customer. After all, your customers can be your best resource in terms of understanding what you’re doing wrong (or right!) on your website or mobile app. So allow me to introduce you to online feedback…

  7. The fundamental responsibility of a Product Manager is to be the company’s leading expert on the customer. In fact, Product Managers often act as mediators between their customers and design teams to identify where their product or service is lagging and ensure that the underlying needs for their online customer are aligned with their service or product offering. Online feedback serves as a great way for connecting product performance and customer expectations.
