  2. A lot has changed in the 30-plus years since author Donald A. Norman aired that grievance in his seminal 1988 text The Design of Everyday Things. These days, the user is king — and any product development team that prioritizes programmers’ desires over user experience (UX) won’t be a working product team for very long.

But building an intuitive app or website that truly accommodates user needs and behaviors requires ample know-how: there’s extensive user research and testing, then mocking up and wireframing designs based on that input, elevating those designs into high-fidelity prototypes and finally handing them off to developers as seamlessly as possible.

  3. We’re almost halfway through the year, and just beginning to enter what’s sometimes called the “summer lull”: that sleepy period during July and August where people go away on holiday and everything’s a bit quiet.

Most ‘digital marketing ideas’ or ‘digital marketing strategy’ pieces tend to be written and published at the beginning of the year, when everything’s new and fresh and marketers are full of enthusiasm. Come June, the shine might be wearing off a bit, your strategy losing steam or not seeming as innovative and full of possibilities as it did in January.
But with six months still to go, you need to find a way to keep the momentum going for the second half of the year. What can you do?
In this article I’ll look at six ideas on the cutting edge of digital marketing that can help to reinvigorate your brand. Some of them are quite simple, while others require a bit more implementation and planning; but all of them are sure to liven up your strategy and give your brand a competitive advantage going into the autumn.

  7. Additive manufacturing might not be the best known and certainly most mentioned aspects of the whole Industry 4.0 range of technologies/applications but it’s certainly one of the most exciting, promising and ground-breaking ones (for us at least).
We need to differ though. Even if, as a term, additive manufacturing is still relatively recent, it is less so as a practice. And from the same terminology perspective, 3D Printing is far more popular (and, again, as a term also relatively recent) and is used as a synonym for additive manufacturing. In practice, it is, well, not that new either.

  8. Evolutions in the buyer journey, coupled with rampant rhetoric, is sapping the credibility of B2B tech vendors. The buyer journey is in an enhanced state of flux for all businesses these days, but discussions around this trend tend to revolve around B2C brands. B2B marketers, it seems, are equally struggling with adapting to new customer behaviors, but they have the added problem of a lack of credibility.

  10. Logistics, transportation and warehousing (supply chain overall) are traditionally among the first movers in the space of connected devices which can sense and ‘communicate’, long before the term ‘Internet of Things‘ even was coined.
